          How I got started...

Welcome to my website, dedicated to my 'addiction' of brewing. I've been brewing for several years now and as is the case with most craft brewers, I started the hobby using a small store bought kit that produced something that was drinkable but not great by any means. Over the next year, I graduated from the store bought kit to a larger stove top version and started doing extract brewing. The beer gradually got better and I began to enjoy it more, but I still wasn't completely impressed with the end result. Soon there after, I moved up to all grain brewing and the addiction ensued...

Why do you make your own beer?

This question always seems to come up when I tell someone that I'm a  brewer and no matter how I answer, the question always seems to linger when discussing aspects of brewing. The simple answer is 'because I like good beer and like trying new things'. When I started this hobby I thought that making beer comparable to what was sold in stores was probably a long shot. And in the beginning I thought that this was probably the case because the first few beers that I made were sub-par (if that). However, over time and after some research, I found out that I could actually make good (scratch that, great) beer on my own and decided that nothing was stopping me.
